Don't stop now... There are many ways to get involved in protecting sharks and their environment. Here are some suggestions:

HELP COLLECT SIGNATURES ON OUR PETITION TO BAN THE SALE OF SHARK FINS

You can help Dorsal Friends collect as many signatures possible to help ban the sale of shark fins and products, starting in Los Angeles County. Shark finning has been illegal since 2002, but the importation and sale of the fins is still legal, a loophole that we are trying to close.

Please print out the petition and signer's logs and collect signatures from your friends, family, colleagues, etc. Signer's do not need to be registered voters, and can reside any where in the world, but must be at least 18 years of age. Then send us the collected signatures by December 31, 2009.

You can help spread awareness to restaurant owners by voicing your concerns and refusing to eat at any that continue to serve shark. Here is a list of restaurants within the U.S. that serve shark:
